Back to school – nutrition, anatomy and physiology

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to this world as the unwearied servant of man’s necessity. He “took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses,” that He might minister to every need of humanity. Matthew 8:17 The burden of disease and wretchedness and sin He came to remove. It was His mission to bring to men complete restoration; He came to give them health and peace and perfection of character” Ministry of Healing pg 1

Sickness, suffering, and death are works of an antagonistic power. Satan is the destroyer; God is the restorer. Christ is the true head of the medical profession. The Chief Physician, He is at the side of every God-fearing practitioner who works to relieve human suffering. While the physician uses nature’s remedies for physical disease, he should point his patients to Him who can relieve the maladies of both the soul and the body (MH pg 37)

MARCH 21ST, 2013

Ok guys, so last week Thursday I accompanied my friend to see a Life Style Educator-Medical Missionary. She has been struggling with breast cancer for 11 years (I met her in December 2012), and after 11 years of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and drugs for every other ailment which came on her body as side effects from the chemo drugs, the conventional doctors have now sent her home (to die!!!), because the cancer has spread to her liver and bones and the chemo drugs are no longer having an effect…..can you believe that!!!!! – but with the help of God, much prayers and love we are nursing her back to health using the NEW START programme (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunshine, Temperance, Air, Rest and Trust in God). The very same programme God used to restore my body from cancer!

Well when I got the location with my friend, the Life Style Educator was actually hosting a training course on ‘Natural Healing – through the Laws of Health’ and I immediately registered for the class, collected my books and folder and started to write (praise God who leadeth me….he leadeth me….he leadeth me..Praise God!). I see this course as a direct answer to my many prayers and cries to God during my time of recovery from breast cancer (May 2012 to January 2013) and I started to work with many men and women who also had cancer and could not afford to do many of the treatments – be it conventional or naturopathic. I begged our Lord to show me ‘a better way, a cheaper way – a way for the poor but which can also be used by the not-so-poor’, to recover from diseases of the body. Though I didn’t use the conventional methods of chemo and radiation, I realized that the some of the methods I used were still very costly …..so my mistakes will be for your blessings as I continue to learn and to pass on the information.

Now take a look at this definition of disease:
A disease is an abnormal condition that affects the body of an organism. It is often construed as a medical condition associated with specific symptoms and signs. It may be caused by factors originally from an external source, such as infectious disease, or it may be caused by internal dysfunctions, such as autoimmune diseases. In humans, "disease" is often used more broadly to refer to any condition that causes pain, dysfunction, distress, social problems, or death to the person afflicted, or similar problems for those in contact with the person. In this broader sense, it sometimes includes injuries, disabilities, disorders, syndromes, infections, isolated symptoms, deviant behaviors, and atypical variations of structure and function, while in other contexts and for other purposes these may be considered distinguishable categories. Diseases usually affect people not only physically, but also emotionally, as contracting and living with many diseases can alter one's perspective on life, and their personality. Death due to disease is called death by natural causes. There are four main types of disease: pathogenic disease, deficiency disease, hereditary disease, and physiological disease. Diseases can also be classified as communicable and non-communicable disease. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disease

There is one cause of disease that is not listed here and that is spiritual – we see this for example in the story of Job (Job 1), Miriam (Numbers 12), The man born blind (John 9) - but then you have to believe in God and the Word of God to even accept this point!

Here are some healing promises from the Bible

“The Lord redeemeth the soul of His servants: and none of them that trust in Him shall be desolate” – Psalm 34:22

“In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: and His children shall have a place of refuge.” – Proverbs 14:26.

“Bless the Lord O my soul and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.” – Psalm 103:3

“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from all their destructions…..Oh that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness. And for His wonderful works to the children of men! Let them sacrifice the sacrifice of thanks giving and declare His works with rejoicing” – Psalm 107:19-22

Ok, so over the coming months I will be at school, and I will be sharing new, simple methods of maintaining health along with delicious healthy recipes for you and your family.

“Wherever hearts are open to receive the truth, Christ is ready to instruct them. He reveals to them the Father and the service acceptable to Him who reads the heart. For such He uses no parables. To them, as to the woman at the well, He says, “I that speak unto thee am He” MH pg 4

God’s Word : generates life, creates faith, produces change, frightens the Devil, causes miracles, heals hurts, builds character, transforms circumstances, imparts joy, overcomes adversity, defeats temptation, infuses hope, releases power, cleanses our minds, brings things into being, and guarantees our future forever! We cannot live without the Word of God! Never take it for granted. You should consider it as essential to your life as food.

God’s Holy Word teaches that men ‘spend money for that which is not bread” (Isaiah 55:2) - All true education comes from a personal knowledge and diligent study of the Scriptures. This education will renew and even expand the mind; it will TRANSFORM the character and will RESTORE the image of God of every child of the Almighty God. God’s Holy Word will enable the learner to understand the Voice of God. The diligent student of this course of study will then become a co-worker with the Saviour. He will become a vessel used by “the Potter” to dispel moral darkness about him and bring light and true knowledge to men. No other education is equal to Gospel education which imparts to the student the character of our Father God!!!!
